God Inherits His People
Certain people and the nation of Israel are known as the Lord’s inheritance
Select people are referred to as God’s Inheritance
Psalms 33:12
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD: and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. KJV
Psalms 28:8-9
8 The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.
9 Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever. KJV
The Children of Israel are referred to as God’s Inheritance
Exodus 34:8-9 Moses prays to God for the children of Israel to be God’s Inheritance.
Deuteronomy 9:25-29 Moses prayer to God calls the Children of Israel God’s Inheritance.
1 Samuel 10:1
Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance? KJV
2 Samuel 21:3
Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD? KJV
1 Kings 8:51-53
51 For they be thy people, and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron:

2 Kings 21:12-15 The Lord threaten to forsake the remanent of His inheritance and deliver them into the hand of their enemies but they practiced evil in His sight.
Psalms 74:1-2
1 Mas'-chil of A'-saph.
O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?
2 Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt. KJV
